Privacy Policy
Opaque by Magus Labs LLC
Opaque by Magus Labs LLC operates completely offline and does not request or require internet permissions.
1. Data Collection and Transmission
We do not collect, transmit, share, or store any personal data, analytics, crash reports, or telemetry. Because the application physically lacks the Android `INTERNET` permission, it is impossible for Opaque to send your data to Magus Labs or any third-party servers.
2. Local Encryption
All files imported, captured, or created within Opaque are encrypted locally on your device's physical hardware using AES-256 GCM encryption. Your Master Encryption Key (MEK) is derived from your personal PIN and is never stored in plain text.
3. Zero-Knowledge Guarantee
Magus Labs LLC has a strict Zero-Knowledge architecture. We have no ability to access, recover, or decrypt your data under any circumstances. If you lose your primary PIN and your BIP-39 recovery phrase, your data will be permanently unrecoverable.
4. Device Permissions
- Camera: Used strictly for taking secure photos directly into the encrypted vault. Photos are not saved to the public gallery.
- Storage / Media: Used solely to allow you to import files into the vault and export decrypted files back to your device.
